Bernardino Díaz-Andreu
Managing Partner
Bernardino Díaz-Andreu has been Managing Partner of Firmum Capital for the last few years and continues as such in its new name Lanza Capital. He takes an active part in the management of the firm and in the private capital portfolio investment and management committees.
Díaz-Andreu has over twenty years’ experience investing in private firms in a range of sectors, including car parks, logistics, automotive industry, fashion, toys, the audiovisual industry, retail, finance and services. He was head of the corporate investment department in Torreal, where he worked for nearly 13 years. From that position he led the execution of transactions worth more than EUR 1.7 billion, achieving very attractive returns.
In the same capacity he was a member of the Boards of Directors of a wide range of private companies in different sectors such as Saba Infraestructuras, Pepe Jeans, Hackett, CIE Automotive, Autometal, INSSEC and Famosa.
He has a degree in Business Administration from the Autonomous University of Madrid and an MBA from Harvard Business School, and is a member of YPO Madrid. Previously he was a consultant with McKinsey, and held down positions in the investment divisions of 3i Group and Merrill Lynch.
Fernando Pire Abarca
Managing Partner
Fernando Pire has been Managing Partner of Firmum Capital for the last few years and continues as such in its new name Lanza Capital. He takes an active part in both the management of the firm and in the investment and management of the infrastructure area, particularly car parks, which he manages through APK Gestión de Aparcamientos.
Fernando has nearly thirty years of experience in senior management positions in the infrastructure and energy sectors. During this time, he has been directly involved in financing, managing and bringing to fruition projects in Spain and abroad, as well as running day-to-day operations.
He has held the posts of Business Development Director and General Manager of the car park division in Isolux Corsán, which he managed and developed to become one of the most important sector players in Spain, with over 50 establishments and 27,500 parking spaces in total.
He has a degree in industrial engineering from the University of Oviedo and an MBA from Adolfo Ibáñez University in Chile. Before his time with Isolux Corsán he was the General Manager of Energy in Radiotronica for ten years, heavily involved in LatAm business development (Argentina, Chile, El Salvador, Guatemala, Mexico and Puerto Rico) and Portugal. He is a member of the management board of the Spanish Car parks & Garages Association (ASESGA).
Julio Acal Méndez
Head of Investments
Julio Acal has been Head of Investments at Firmum Capital since his incorporation in March 2019 and continues as such in its new name Lanza Capital. Julio has close to 18 years’ experience in the financial sector, having spent most of his professional career in Banco Sabadell. Prior to joining Firmum Capital, Julio occupied the position of M&A Director within the Mergers and Acquisitions unit of Banco Sabadell, responsible for the origination and execution of M&A transactions in Madrid, Castilla la Mancha, Andalusia, Extremadura and the Canary Islands regions.
With a degree in Law from University of Seville and MBA from IESE Business School, Julio Acal is a specialist in corporate and financing operations in different sectors, with exposure to assets in the infrastructure sector.
Nuria Corcuera Alday
Head of Business Development
Nuria Corcuera is Head of Business Development at Lanza Capital. Since the beginning of 2016 she has been part of the Firmum Capital team, now Lanza Capital. Since the end of 2015, she has participated in the negotiation, analysis and closing of more than 40 car park acquisition transactions for APK Gestión de Aparcamientos, S.A., belonging to the funds managed by Firmum Capital, now Lanza Capital.
Nuria has spent most of her professional career linked to environmental, concession and infrastructure businesses at the firm SVAT, a subsidiary of FCC, and at TMMA, a company that sells environmental equipment. Subsequently, she spent the rest of her professional career at Isolux Corsán in the infrastructure and concessions areas.
Nuria has studied Law at the Complutense University of Madrid.
